DBLL lost 8-2 in extra innings to Milford, Connecticut Little League.

GREENVILLE, NC - Daniel Boone Little League All-Stars (Central) fell to Milford, Connecticut (New England) in loser's bracket play in the Little League Softball World Series on Friday by a score of 8-2.

The team is officially eliminated from the tournament, finishing 1-2 overall in Greenville, North Carolina. DBLL went 5-2 in 2021 finishing 3rd overall.

The game was even at 2-2 in extra innings before Milford's bats came alive at the top of the ninth inning, sparked by an RBI single from Norah Bove.Milford finished the inning with six runs scored, putting the game out of reach for DBLL.

Rylee Ellsworth was the primary pitcher for DBLL, going 8 ⅓ innings with ten strikeouts on 11 hits. She allowed all six runs. Sophia Horvack started in the circle for Milford, allowing two runs and a strikeout over two innings.

DBLL had seven hits collectively to Milford's 11. DBLL's Ealynne Bostick and Ellsworth led the team with two hits apiece. Keelee Hagler and Taylor Trim drove in the group's two runs.

The game was delayed due to weather twice. The game started over 3 hours late and then took another delay in the middle of Milford's hot 9th inning stretch. The total weather delay time was almost 5 and a half hours.
